Endgame is a volume in the Alternatives series from B Cubed Press. B Cubed Press was formed by Bob Brown and friends in 2016 as an artistic response to the unprecedented 2016 election.

This anthology includes stories of justice, failure, destruction, and redemption. Speaking of redemption, my unabashed favourite in this anthology speculates what sort of man a certain bone-spur sufferer might have become, had he gone to war and learned a few lessons about life.

Some of the finest stories I’ve had the pleasure of editing, from some of the best authors I’ve had the privilege to work with.

Within these pages, you will find lady sharpshooters and dominatrix detectives. You’ll encounter vampire forensics, sleuthing Rabbis, and ancient East Asian vendettas exploding onto the streets of East London. And in one spectacular story, one man uncovers a corporate conspiracy to steal the very power of the sun.

These cupcakes aren’t always sweet. In fact, many lead to a sticky end. But only for those who truly deserve it.

Death on a Cold Night is the first anthology from the late, great Elm Books.

Eight chilly mysteries for a cold winter’s night, including one by my dad, Leonhard August.

Death and the Detective was my sophomore anthology with Elm Books. And it even contains one of my own stories, Golden Handcuffs (people paying attention will recognise bits and pieces from my retail career) as well as one by my father, Leonhard August.

When I wrote the submission call for Death and the Detective, I specifically said *no supernatural stories.* Predictably, I was swamped with supernatural submissions from authors begging me to reconsider. So many of those entries were amazing that we put together this anthology in record time. With stories from Charlie Cochrane, Helen Angove, and many other amazing authors, this remains one of my favourites.

“Supernatural Romance” is so far from my comfort zone as either a reader or a writer. But when Elm Books asked me to co-edit this, I jumped in with both feet. And we even won a prize!

Probably my favourite of the Elm Books anthologies, it’s sadly out of print. But if you can find it second hand, it’s really worth your while.
