Wow, it’s been ten days. You’d think nothing was happening chez Faraday, when actually it’s quite the opposite. If nothing were happening, I’d be posting ten times a day.

Had guests for the weekend: two very well behaved young men from London, taking a few “gap weeks” (rather than a gap year) between school and university. It was a little strange to be the friends of parents of adults, but all in all, couldn’t have asked for better guests. Also threw a well-attended party. I do love a good party.

Reveling in the New and Improved Clean House with Immaculate Wood Floors. I have a few free hours today, and have the luxury of choosing either to make curtains to match the paint job in the office (spring green and bright mustard–a beautiful combination, but difficult to match when home decor fabrics seem to favor dull and muted) and cracking out a bit on the Left Hand. I’ve found the Beating Heart of the book, and need to sit down and write it out. The whole thing is a bit of a departure for me, but it will be worth it.

Also want to do a bit of outdoor work today. The weather has been uncharacteristically agreeable: sunny and cool. I’ve only needed the air conditioner twice this summer. Well, when one starts talking about the weather, it’s time to sign off, so…until later =)
